Chilaminas Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data the Chilaminas app ("the app") collects, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. What we collect

1.1. Account data

When you create an account or sign in we collect:

• Email address — required to authenticate you.
• Display name — visible to other collectors when you publish your collection for exchange.
• Phone number (optional) — only if you choose to add it to your profile so other collectors can contact you.
• A unique user identifier generated by Firebase Authentication.
• Account creation date.

If you sign in with Google, Google also shares with us the email address and display name associated with your Google account.

1.2. Your sticker collection

The app stores on your device which stickers you own, which are missing, and how many duplicates you have. This stays on your device unless you choose to publish it for exchange.

1.3. Exchange data (only if you turn on the exchange feature)

When you publish your collection to trade with nearby collectors, we send to our servers:

• The list of duplicate and missing stickers you chose to publish.
• Your approximate location (latitude and longitude) at the time of publishing, so nearby users can find you.
• Your display name and, if you added it, your phone number.

You can unpublish your collection at any time from within the app.

1.4. Purchases

When you buy Premium inside the app, the purchase is processed by Apple. We only receive a confirmation from Apple that you are entitled to Premium features; we do not receive your payment information.

2. How we use your data

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To save and sync your profile across devices.
• To show your published collection to nearby collectors when the exchange feature is on.
• To enable Premium features if you purchased them.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.

3. Who we share your data with

• Other Chilaminas users: your display name, published collection, approximate location, and (if you added it) phone number are visible to other users when you publish your collection for exchange.
• Firebase / Google Cloud (Google LLC): we use Firebase Authentication and Firestore. Your data is stored on Google infrastructure.
• Apple: in-app purchases are processed by Apple according to their privacy policy.

We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

4. Location

The app requests location access only while in use and only to show you nearby collectors when the exchange feature is on. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time from iOS Settings; the app will still work, you just won't be able to use proximity-based exchange.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your profile and published collection are deleted from our servers within 30 days.
• Data stored locally on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. You can also email lalanne@gmail.com and we will delete your account within 30 days.

7. Children

Chilaminas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will notify you inside the app.
